Yoga Nidra Series with Alia
Come join Alia Bharwani, trained Yoga Nidra Instructor, Graduate Intern Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Alia is honoured to share this practice of Yoga Nidra with you. Yoga Nidra is a type of guided meditation, also known as yogic sleep; it is sleep while maintaining awareness. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to shift through different levels of our awareness. This practice is open to anyone. It is especially beneficial for those struggling from anxiety, depression, trauma, and lack of sleep.
We will start with gentle movement to help settle the physical body, so that we can then explore our mental states. The movement that is offered will be modifiable to all levels. The session will be approximately 1 hour, offering 30 minutes of movement and 30 minutes of meditation.
Alia look forward to sharing this beautiful practice with you every second Tuesday starting Sept 20th at 5:30pm at the Riverwest Collective space. We have 6 spots available each session.
