Tishina Shannacappo (She/Her), Registered Provisional Psychologist
Heart Berry Psychology
I’m Tishina, a Registered Provisional Psychologist based in Calgary. I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you are seeking supportive therapy or a comprehensive psychological assessment, I look forward to working with you.
Approach & Background:
My practice is neuro-affirming and Autism/ADHD-focused, with advanced training in understanding and assessing diverse cognitive profiles. I am nearing completion of a doctoral degree in School and Counselling Psychology through the University of Toronto and hold two post-master’s certificates in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Calgary. While most of my clinical experience is in assessment, I bring a deeply systemic and relational perspective to all my work.
I also have an interest in supporting students from grade school through university, healthcare professionals, and educators. As both a lifelong student and a former school psychologist, I understand the unique pressures and responsibilities within educational and helping systems. I enjoy creating a space where we can explore these experiences thoughtfully and help you find steadiness, clarity, and meaning.
Assessment Services:
I specialize in thorough, strength-based psychological assessments for children, teens, and adults. Whether you are exploring ADHD, autism, giftedness, learning differences, or simply want a clearer understanding of cognitive and academic strengths, my goal is to provide detailed, thoughtful reports and practical recommendations. I want each individual and family to leave feeling understood, empowered, and well-equipped for next steps.
Therapy Services:
My therapeutic style blends humanistic, existential, and narrative approaches with practical, well-established tools. Whether you wish to explore deeper life patterns or develop effective coping strategies, I will tailor our work to fit your needs. I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults, post-secondary students, healthcare professionals, and educators, who often hold themselves to high standards while navigating complex roles and personal challenges.
