Jace Laing-Schroeder (They/Them), Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist
Jace Autumn Therapy
I'm Jace Autumn (they/them). I'm a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist, currently living and practicing on unceded Treaty 7 territory, in Mohkinstsis. I am a proud transmasc, nonbinary, and neurodivergent person operating based on both lived, and formal experience. I am deeply committed to building an anti-oppressive, decolonial counselling practice, based in curiosity, intentionality, awareness, and humility. I believe that talk therapy is one element in what should be a holistic approach to mental health, recovery, and well-being. Integrating community care and involvement, alongside individual efforts is very important to me.
Within my practice, I am especially interested in Somatic Internal Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. My focuses currently include grief/ bereavement, neurodivergence, relational dynamics, attachment theory, anxiety and depression, complex trauma, gender, and sexuality. I'm looking forward to continuously developing a community oriented practice that is both holistic, and accessible.

Personal Interests:
In my spare time, I enjoy creating playful, whimsical paintings, ceramics, and jewelry. I live with two 8 month old kittens (Fig and Tadpole), and my 16-year-old shepherd (Bella). I drink Earl Grey every morning, and have recently taken to interior design and decorating! I also enjoy playing my ukulele (especially around a campfire) and singing songs, loudly. My dog and I spend a lot of time exploring local neighbourhoods, hiking the woods behind my apartment, and visiting the river!
