Forest Therapy Walks with Andre

What is Forest Bathing? Shirin-Yoku, which is the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. It refers to the practice of spending time in nature for the purpose of health, wellness and happiness. It is the practice of connection with the natural world and with each other. Forest Bathing is a slow-paced/ gentle walk or wander in nature with guide-led invitations designed to bring wellness, calm and connection.

Science has also shown the health benefits of spending time in nature. People who spend time in the forest experience a decrease in stress levels, improve outlook, focus, and energy, as well as many other health benefits.

***Please note this walk is meant to be slow in pace. Please dress warmer than you might expect. Do not expect to engage in any physical activity during walk.

Audience: Anyone Aged 15 years of Age or Older (No pets)

Guide Biography: Andre Benoit, is a locally based Registered Psychologist (Deep Roots Therapies) and certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides (ANFT).
