Forest Fridays - Weekly Summer Series

Meaning Making for Grief & Loss

Tell me about the 5 2 hour Guided Group Forest Therapy sessions I’ll attend: Through a guided series of sensory-based invitations, people often report feelings of lightness, calmness, and an increased sense of interconnectedness with the human and more-than-human world.

WALKS will be in central locations in Calgary.

Tell me about the 5 60 minute individual therapy session I’ll receive: Along with breathing and mindfulness-strategies Andre will mainly utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is an evidence-based exposure therapy treatment. ART uses eye movements and mental imagery to help you reprocess grief memories and identify and syncrhonize bodily sensations to decrease overall distress.

Is this Series right for Me? Have you experienced (in the past 6 months), the death of a person or animal, family estrangement, job loss, relationship breakup, or lonlieness, disconnection or separation through COVID19?
