Ryan Maisey (He/Him), Registered Provisional Psychologist
Lateral Love Psychology Inc
Hello! I'm Ryan and I'm the face behind Lateral Love Psychology.
I am a Queer Métis and I love being a client-centered therapist. Reaching out and asking for help can be difficult, complex, and scary. However, I genuinely believe that everyone has the tools and abilities to overcome and transform their lives. At the core of my practice, I love to journey beside each person and provide a space to share experiences, knowledge, and stories. I work collaboratively in the therapeutic space to support people in attaining their personal goals, exploring new coping strategies, strengthening inter- and intra-personal connections, and developing new relationships with their traumas.
Throughout my work, I am privileged to hear the unique stories and experiences everyone has. I work with Teens and Adult; Individuals, Couples, and Family's facing: Grief & Loss, Anxiety, personal and intergenerational Trauma (including Trauma-related conditions), Interpersonal Conflicts, Gender and Sexuality, Self-Esteem, and Navigating Life Transitions.

Personal Interests:
Outside of my career, I am an extroverted introvert who loves connecting with friends and family while also ensuring to take time for myself. I often spend the majority of my free time going to the mountains, listening to a new podcast, exploring new coffee shops to sip overpriced coffee, watching reality TV, travelling, and going on runs if I'm feeling extra motivated.
