ReThink Well Psychology
Have you ever been told that you are being ‘too sensitive’, or ‘too much’? Do you feel overwhelmed when you try to express your emotions and end up feeling anxious about them instead? Perhaps you are struggling with negative beliefs about yourself or have overpowering emotions that have kept you suffering for a long time. What makes these concerns more difficult is feeling that close ones in your life may not understand or accept your struggles.
I work with folks who have experienced trauma, identify as highly sensitive, struggle with regulating emotions, and suffer from anxiety and depression. In our work, I aim to demonstrate that you are seen, you are heard, that you are not alone, and most importantly that change is possible. I aim to help clients build the skills and the confidence to build a life that they find worth living.
My expertise is in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based modalities, and Solution-Focused Therapy. In taking a dialectical perspective toward your struggles we could strike a balance between acceptance and change and lead you out of just surviving and into thriving.

Personal Interests:
I enjoy long walks on the beach and… I often struggle with talking about myself, and that’s likely because I like to spend most of my time reading plenty of fiction and non-fiction and have a soft spot for the big thinkers of the world. I would consider myself a movie buff and enjoy discussing the latest films and Oscar buzz. I also love listening to live music and I dabble with the drums myself. One aspiration of mine outside of therapy is to publish a noir detective novel that I have been working on for the past year and a half.
