Ali Chacalias Psychology & Wellness

Ali is currently accepting new clients and offers free 20-minute phone consultations.

You have taken a courageous step to be here and I am so happy that you did!

Ali is a Registered Psychologist who works with clients to help restore a sense of wellness, strength, and hope. We all move through transition and challenges in life and we deserve a space to learn and discover healthier ways of coping and living.

Ali specializes in supporting adults struggling with depression, anxiety, family and relationship conflict, life transitions, or trauma (PTSD and other post-trauma symptoms). She is passionate about helping you improve your relationship with yourself (targeting shame, self-esteem issues, and enhancing self-compassion) so that you have the strength and confidence to move through life’s challenges.

Ali uses a collaborative, evidence-based therapeutic approach that is tailored to meet her clients’ needs and tap into their unique experiences and strengths. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory.

Ali is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and brings yoga and mindfulness principles into her work with clients as a way to help clients tune into their emotions, foster self-compassion, and reconnect with their sense of self.

Ali is an EMDR-trained therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy) and uses this approach to help clients move past single traumatic incidences as well as chronic traumatic (childhood or adulthood) experiences.

Ali is also a NeurOptimal Neurofeedback trainer and offers this to clients who are looking for a new wellness practice to incorporate into their life to bring balance, strength, and flexibility by targeting their brain wellness.

Ali looks forward to supporting and empowering you to restore your wellness!

She will not be joining us in therapy since she is an incredibly high energy Australian Shepherd. Outside of being therapist and spending time with my dog, I also love to travel, adventure, and spend lots of time relaxing and reconnecting with nature, good friends & good books.
