Adrian Cole (He/Him), Graduate Intern Therapist
Heart Body Mind Psychological and Assessment Services
My name is Adrian Cole (He/Him). I am a white settler living in Moh’kinsstis. My unique lens is influenced by lived experience with neurodivergence, wrestling with athletic identity, yoga teacher training, and deconstructing masculinity. I love to move my body, read fiction and non-fiction, write poetry, explore the outdoors, and get lost in the story of a video game.
I am striving to build a decolonized practice that incorporates both western scientific approaches and other methods of healing. I recognize that there are many paths toward well-being, and I hope to support my clients with what feels natural and good for them. Using a person-centered trauma-informed approach within my practice, I am inspired to draw from existentialism, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy and elements of psychodynamic approaches. My focuses are neurodivergence, athletic identity, anxiety, depression, developmental trauma, grief, relationships, relationship diversity, sexuality, and anything pertaining to masculinity and gender exploration.
My hope is to cultivate a relationship with my clients that focuses on their specific goals and witnessing their unique journey of self-exploration.
